Mad About Paris, Much more than a guide
Do we need to explain who Vanessa Bruno is to any fashion victim in the world? I don’t think so. The young French designer has created her own, unmistakable style, a kind of relaxed romanticism: so Parisian!
It’s a style that fits herself very well. Bruno, a tall, platinum blond with Danish origins (her mother is a Danish supermodel, her father founded the fashion house Emmanuelle Khan) perfectly represents the kind of women she makes outfits for: unconventional and stylish, but not too much. Her outfits are comfortable, sometimes even androgynous, but always with a sexy twist and some feminine elements (lace insets for example).
Textures and fabrics are fluid and flattering, colours sophisticated. It’s exactly what Parisian girls are looking for: a kind of easy chic with a twist of sexiness but an even greater touch of understatement.
Since Kate Bosworth is the new face of the brand, there is even more buzz about it. Have a look at the beautiful campaign from last fall:
Constant must-haves are her bags. There is the famous sequin-striped tote, which she designed, in all imaginable colours and materials. But for the 10th anniversary of her brand she created the Lune, a classic already.
So what are you waiting for? Head to one of her three boutiques in Paris and once back at home, read my lips, everybody will ask you where got this gorgeous tunic from.Vanessa Bruno
