Grand Palais hosts France's largest ice rink

If you ask me which one was my favourite building in Paris, I might answer: the Grand Palais. All kind of events are hosted under its impressive glass roof. Sometimes it’s a Chanel fashion show, other times show jumping. But these days it becomes a real hot spot: For the rest of the year it has been transformed into the largest ice rink ever created in France.

Why don’t you join the happy crowd and go ice-skating in this really very Parisian atmosphere? From tomorrow on until January 6th it will be open very day and sometime and even at night. The rink has a size of 1,800 square metres, which is huge. There will be a special spot for kids, a sun lounge (whatever that means) and a café. Imagine a kind of St-Moritz on Champs-Elysees…

The Paris Crystal Palace

But what an amazing experience to skate under the glass roof of the Grand Palais! Everything feels light and somehow seems more beautiful under the glass roof of the Grand Palais, which has been inspired by the London Crystal Palace and was built at the end of 19th century.

To avoid long lines, you can buy your ticket online. It gives you access at the priority “cut-line” ticket office.

Adult rate 12€, 6€ for children. The location of skates is included.
